La Volaina is the result of the initiative that Celler Credo together with the Museum of Natural Sciences of Granollers have launched with the aim of researching and disseminating the importance of butterflies (Volainas). The Parellada variety is grown in completely organic vineyards in the town of Pla de Manlleu, one of the highest altitude areas of the Penedès (500 meters above sea level). The grapes are harvested by hand and transported in small boxes.

All the vinification and bottling is done entirely in the cellar of Celler Credo. During the elaboration of La Volaina , alcoholic fermentation is carried out with our own yeasts in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Due to the minimal intervention, the wine may present natural sediments. La Volaina is a white wine with a low alcohol content but with great aromatic intensity.
