The Red Wine La Senoba belongs to Bodegas Rodriguez Sanzo and has a qualified Denomination of Origin Rioja.
It is composed of 50% Tempranillo grapes and 50% Graciano grapes.
The bunches are selected in the field and transported in boxes to the winery, where they are kept at 9ºC for a minimum of 6 days before alcoholic fermentation begins. This process is carried out in wooden tanks of 4,000 and 6,000 liters where the wine is kept for more than 20 days of fermentation. Both types of wine are kept separate throughout the process. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is kept in the wooden tanks throughout the winter and in spring it is transferred to new French and Hungarian oak barrels. After 12 months of aging, all the barrels are tasted and a decision is made on the blend between the two varieties, which is then returned to the same barrels for a further 6 months.
It has an alcohol content of 14%.
It is recommended to serve at a temperature between 16°C and 18°C.
